The Site Maintenance Technician will work with our Events, Eco Team, Community Safety, and other departments to support with the operations of The Forks site. This person will be “on the ground” with front-line teams, to ensure visitors of The Forks experience a clean, safe, and welcoming site. The Site Maintenance Technician will assist in:
- Daily site checks, including documenting site hazards.
- Maintenance tasks, such as turf management, skate trail maintenance, waste collection, encampment cleanup, and snow clearing.
- Monitoring site related supply inventories and communicate needs to the site supervisor.
- Supporting with the setup of the patio, including rearranging furniture, sweeping, pressure washing, etc.
The Site Maintenance Technician is someone who:
- Has strong communication skills and is able to interact with various teams and visitors of The Forks.
- Has excellent time management skills and pays close attention to detail.
- Demonstrates strong problem solving abilities and is able to resolve issues quickly.
- Is able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Is capable of working outdoors, in a variety of extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold temperatures, snow, and rain.
- Has a valid driver’s license.
- Is proficient in heavy equipment operation, such as ice resurfacers, skid steers, tractors, cargo bikes, power tools, and 2-stroke engines.
