Security at The Forks will work with our Operations team to support the well being, safety and security of visitors, staff, and tenants at The Forks site. This person will be “on the ground” with front-line teams, to ensure all visitors experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct consistent patrols of the 52-acre site on foot or by bicycle
- Interact with all visitors in a customer service first manner
- Support a safe and welcoming place for everyone in our community
- Assist visitors with questions they may have
- Complete daily incident reports, as needed
- Diffuse any visitor disturbances and escort individuals of the property if needed
Job Requirements:
- Must have a security license under the province of Manitoba
- Must be able to ride a bicycle
- Able and eager to work in a very fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and late nights
- Ability to work 8 hours on your feet, indoors and outdoors; in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cooler temperatures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
