JOB SUMMARY
The Reception/Admin is responsible for providing reception and clerical support in an effective and efficient manner. The incumbent will be required to work in a very busy environment providing reception duties and clerical support to three (3) on-site campuses.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Provide high-level reception and clerical support to staff and students as required
- Provide high-level client service
- Operate personal computer to enter, draft, edit, revise, and print data, complete required letters and correspondence
- Provide word-processing and secretarial support
- Respond to all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner as needed
- Maintain an adequate inventory of office and other supplies as required, complete ordering as requested
- Ensure student filing system is current and up to date
- Perform a range of staff and/or operational support activities
- Operate switchboard, answer incoming calls and inquires, and direct calls to appropriate staff
- Assist with office and school events
REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess a combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience in Office Administration
- Must have proven computer skills, excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Administrative procedures and practices
- Computer software (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Word processing and data entry skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening)
- Set priorities, organize and discern information from various documents
- Ability to compose and edit written materials
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
- Experience working in a client focused environment
- Experience providing administrative support
