DUTIES

Come join the Corporate Solutions Team as an Instructor.

The team works with organizations of all sizes to access the College's knowledgeable and trusted subject-matter experts (SME) for customer and contract training solutions.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, the Instructors are required to teach a variety of courses in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field for Red River College Polytechnic's Corporate Solutions department. This position will deliver the program in Stonewall, MB. Instructors are responsible to create and maintain a welcoming, positive learning environment that supports diverse learners while building community. Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining student records, classroom management, student evaluation, Work-Integrated-Learning (practicum) supervision, marking and grade submission, preparing course outlines and curriculum development. The Instructor may be asked to teach either online and/or in-person.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for supporting adult learning, strong communication skills and experience teaching in an online or blended environment and have a commitment to their own lifelong learning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Early Childhood Educator III Classification, or a Bachelors Degree in Family Social Sciences, Developmental Studies, Child Studies. Combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience training, mentoring and/or coaching learners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Ability to create a positive classroom environment for diverse learners with a commitment to student success
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSETS

  • Teaching For Learning Certificate or equivalent Adult Education certification
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level in person and/or online
