Are you an Indigenous person who is interested in education and career development? Do you want to work with some of the leading aerospace companies in Manitoba? Do you enjoy connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals?

If so, Manitoba Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for you! We are a not-for-profit organization that works with the local aerospace industry to help develop a skilled workforce. In order to achieve that, we partner with Indigenous organizations to help address the need for qualified workers. We believe that diversity and inclusion are essential for the continued success of the sector.

We are looking for a motivated Indigenous Recruitment Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for recruiting and retaining Indigenous candidates for training programs that can lead to careers in the local aerospace and aviation industries.

You will work in partnership with the Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development (CAHRD) and Neeginan College to develop and implement recruitment strategies, provide support services to trainees/employees, raise awareness of the aerospace industry among the Indigenous community, and promote an understanding of Indigenous issues for the local aerospace industry.

You will also have the opportunity to learn from some of the best aerospace professionals in Manitoba and gain valuable knowledge of the industry

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • To be an Indigenous person
  • To have a degree or certification in a field related to education, psychology, sociology, behavioral science, human resources, or social work
  • To have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • To have a practical understanding of Microsoft Office
  • To have experience in recruitment, marketing, or outreach activities
  • To have knowledge of local Indigenous communities
  • To have a current driver’s license and access to a vehicle
