Job Description:
The Winnipeg Indigenous Friendship Centre is seeking a motivated and organized Program Facilitator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves supporting the administration of our programs and ensuring a positive experience for participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with program administration and logistics
- Recruit and engage participants for programs
- Supervise program activities and ensure a safe environment
- Handle cleaning and setup of program spaces
- Complete incident reporting as necessary
- Gather program feedback and conduct evaluations
- Maintain and report program statistics
- Assist with additional administrative tasks, including:
- Funding reports
- Email correspondence
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school, and/or post-secondary degree in the Social Services or relevant experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
- Preferred experience in program facilitation or a related field, with an understanding of the needs of diverse groups, including those affected by poverty and trauma
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Proficient in basic administrative tasks and computer skills
- Criminal Record Check required
- Level C-CPR, NVCI, ASIST training an asset, or willingness to take trainings upon hiring
- Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle an asset
