Job Description:

The Winnipeg Indigenous Friendship Centre is seeking a motivated and organized Program Facilitator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves supporting the administration of our programs and ensuring a positive experience for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with program administration and logistics
  • Recruit and engage participants for programs
  • Supervise program activities and ensure a safe environment
  • Handle cleaning and setup of program spaces
  • Complete incident reporting as necessary
  • Gather program feedback and conduct evaluations
  • Maintain and report program statistics
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks, including:
    • Funding reports
    • Email correspondence

Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school, and/or post-secondary degree in the Social Services or relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Preferred experience in program facilitation or a related field, with an understanding of the needs of diverse groups, including those affected by poverty and trauma
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Proficient in basic administrative tasks and computer skills
  • Criminal Record Check required
  • Level C-CPR, NVCI, ASIST training an asset, or willingness to take trainings upon hiring
  • Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle an asset
