Duties:

Under the guidance of a Senior Statistical Analyst, the Wait Times Registry & Statistical Clerk is responsible for data entry into various databases as well as generating and disseminating reports regarding statistical health data and health care system indicators. In carrying out this work, the incumbent will require a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and ability to quickly learn and navigate complex databases in order to effectively produce requested reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience with data entry into complex databases, preferably as it relates to medical information
  • Experience compiling and producing statistical reports using a data mining or data reporting tool (e.g. Cognos)
  • Proficiency using web-based applications
  • Proficiency with medical terminology
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail as well as the ability to set priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and co-operatively in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Desired:

  • Completion of a medical office assistant or similar program
  • Experience creating new statistical reports using a data mining or data reporting tool
