An inner city youth agency requires a qualified individual to fill the position of a Supervisor for the Clean Machine program. Reporting to the Director of Employment Services, the Supervisor will supervise crews of five youth aged 12-16 as they clean various areas of the City of Winnipeg.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Streets Program Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting in the selection and orientation of crew members, ensuring the safety and supervision of all crew members; effectively managing workloads to enable work be completed correctly and efficiently. The Supervisor will also ensure pick-up and drop-off of collected refuse and execute accurate and timely administrative duties.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age due to rental car agreement
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and provide a clear Driver’s Abstract
  • Experience working with youth from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a recent (3 months) clear criminal record and clear child abuse registry check or obtain before starting the position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • First Aid/CPR training would be an asset

*This is a position for weekends in June and September as well as a full time day position (35 hrs. week) approximately 6 weeks in July and August.
