Business Transformation and Technology provides leadership for service delivery activities, operational transformation activities and the SAP implementation across the Government of Manitoba ensuring the best possible use of the provinces existing information and communications technology resources, systems, platforms, applications and stills, while finding new ways to meet service challenges, plan for future needs, and response to economic opportunities.

Duties:

The Change Coordinator acts as a “gatekeeper” for all change to applications and systems and coordinates changes within ICT, vendors, hosting providers and other Government departments enterprise wide.

  • Receive Change Request (CR), log the change and allocate a priority in consultation with the initiator.
  • Table all CRs for a Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting if applicable, issue agenda and circulate all CRs to the CAB members in advance of meetings.
  • Coordinate with all necessary parties to coordinate Change building, testing and implementation.
  • Work with all parties to ensure scheduling conflicts are resolved and any cross impacts are evaluated and resolved.
  • Review all implemented changes to ensure they have met their objectives.
  • Analyze Change records for reporting purposes to measure the process effectiveness and to determine any trends or issues that exist in the execution of the process.
  • Ensure all CRs are closed in a timely manner.
  • Produce and review regular and accurate management reports.

Qualifications: 

Essential:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Computer Science Diploma from a recognized university or college (a combination of related education and experience may be considered)
  • Several years’ experience working in an IT environment
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Desired:

  • The ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Analytical experience preferably from an IT environment
  • Customer service experience would be desirable
